/ THE WHY
Amy Carlon has lived with Arthrogryposis since birth, a condition affecting tendons, muscles, and, in turn, joint development and her parents told she would never be able to walk. It has shaped every part of how she moves through the world (literally).
Alongside that, the last 30 years have included endometriosis, PTSD, ADHD, lipolymphedema, celiac disease, histamine intolerance, thyroid issues and a bipolar 2 diagnosis. All took years of misdiagnosis, medication, and showing up anyway to build a life and share her art.
None of it stopped the work. Some days, it changed what the work looked like. But every single experience left something worth keeping, a lesson.
This is not a comeback story. Just an honest account of what it takes to build something real when life does not make it easy. Recognition for what has been built, not sympathy for the life that built it.
